Is this fair? I'd like you to decide. Throughout the past year, I have been working my hardest as a student. My grades have been outstanding—none lower than a ninety-three on my report card. I am in all top classes; I am also at the top of my class. At least that is what was said to me yesterday, June 14, 2005. I was walking back to my science class after dropping a paper off at my algebra classroom when the principal stopped me in the hall. He told me to follow him to his o...
Apparently in a follow-up to Condoleezza Rice's week-long diplomatic trip to Europe earlier this month, Bush too will be trying to mend European-American relations. On the outside, this looks like a great plan. First stunning the European leaders with Rice's eloquence, then having the president himself do some diplomacy. Bush will visit Brussels, speak to Putin, Chirac, Schroeder, Blair, and others. Although diplomacy is never a bad thing, we don't know if this will work. Europe and Americ...
Alright folks, how well do you think you will do on a simple geography quiz? I am startled at how few people know basic geography, so let's see how you can do on an easy exam. My days as a conservative...what a confusing time they were. Those on this site who know me well, which I daresay is very few of you, know that I am all but a conservative these days. But it wasn't always that way. You won't believe what made me moderate. It all started with watching Lou Dobbs on CNN. I'm not sure why I started watching him, with his low, boring, and dreary voice. He didn't even talk about issues that mattered to me. Every night it was outsourcing . Outsourcing doesn't...
Few things bother me more than grammar or spelling mistakes. Sadly, very few have mastered the fine art of fine grammar. Many people also stumble on spelling. Perhaps an editor is needed to sort through some people's mess they call 'sentences.' While in the end, spelling and grammar mistakes don't really take away much from an article, a nicely polished piece of work is easier to read, therefore it makes its point more clearly. Some mistakes that I find to be especially annoying are listed. ...
Out of desperation and disappointment, I wonder if moderates will ever hold a position of power in the Executive Branch again. The Democrats can offer me a far-left agenda and the Republicans can offer me a far-right agenda. What choices! I believe it could only do the American people good if each party ran a bit more to the center to match mainstream American views. It is obvious that neither party, at this moment, is bothering to do that. First, we had Bush, who was really far too co...
I do not listen to Savage at all. But today, September 21st, I turned on my radio, wanting to hear the voice of some moderate commentator. But who do I get? Savage. I've heard plenty of his far-right antics, but today scared me. I turned on my radio to hear him spewing some stuff that the ACLU would tear down this country etc.. But then he got onto the topic of terrorism. He was telling us how he would like to drop some nukes on 'at least five capitals' in the Mid-East to teach those ter...
Welcome, I am new here to Joeuser, so treat me nicely. I can't promise "Fun" with Fazz, however.
